About the Recipe

Baby artichokes are rich in nutritional supplements; we consider them a super food. They contain them all: carbs, fibers, proteins, minerals, and vitamins. They are cute to see and tasty to eat. This recipe makes everyone happy!

Ingredients

  • 20 Baby Artichokes

  • 1 Organic Lemon

  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Oregano to Taste

  • Thyme to Taste

  • Sea Salt to Taste

Preparation

  1. Cut a lemon in half and rub your hands.

  2. Remove the stiff leaves till you reach the yellow light center.

  3. Cut the bottom and about 1/2 inch at the top of the baby artichokes.

  4. Drop them as you clean them one by one in a mix of water and lemon juice for ten minutes.

  5. Drain the excess water.

  6. Steam for 20 minutes.

  7. In a pan, pour the extra virgin olive oil.

  8. Cut the clove of garlic into two parts.

  9. Remove the central sprout.

  10. Place the halves into the pan and cook till golden brown.

  11. Add the baby artichokes and season with sea salt, oregano and fresh thyme.

  12. Cook for 3 minutes.

  13. Plate and decorate with some extra fresh thyme.
