About the Recipe
Shrimps are delicious, simple as that. They are low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals. This simple recipe is good to taste and fun to share with family and friends.

Ingredients
Shrimps
1 Garlic Clove
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Fresh Thyme
Fresh Lemon Juice (Optional)
Sea Salt to Taste
White Pepper to Taste
Preparation
Peel the garlic clove, cut it in half, remove the internal germ and place them into a small bowl.
Add the extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt, white ground pepper, and fresh thyme.
Mix and set aside.
Place the shrimps in a colander.
Wash them with cold water.
Remove their heads by pinching and twisting them simultaneously, using your index finger and thumb, while holding their body firmly. Set aside the heads for a delicious spaghetti with shrimp sauce; read here.
Trim along the curved back using the shear tip and remove the shell. Keep the little tail.
Remove the shrimp's digestive tract ("vein") using the tip of your knife or the tip of a toothpick; if you do not feel comfortable handling a pairing knife for the task.
Make a shallow cut on the back of the shrimp and pull the "vein" towards you.
Insert the skewer into the shrimps from their head side and place them on a tray or large plate.
Brush the shrimps on all sides with the batter.
Place them in a large pan and cook for two/three minutes.
Plate and decorate with extra thyme leaves.
